Summer Soccer Camps 2025
This outdoor season, we’re excited to offer a variety of summer soccer camps for U9–U15 players in Saskatoon and surrounding areas!
Camp Dates:
Week 1: August 12–15
Week 2: August 19–22
Each camp will feature two specialized training sessions, and all sessions are open to players of all skill levels—you do not need to be an ASTRA member to join!

This camp is open to any player wanting to learn more about developing Midfielder specific skills.
The focus of this camp will be:
Learning the different ways to receive a pass (with pressure & with no pressure)
Midfield movement to help lose your marker and receive the ball
Effective passing techniques
Gain a better understanding of the different spaces you can receive a pass

These Goalkeeper sessions are intended to introduce players to the basics of playing as a goalkeeper with an emphasis on learning safe technique and gaining confidence. Training is open to players of all levels and experience. This training is also open to players outside of regular ASTRA programming.

Basic catching techniques
Basic diving techniques
Footwork and body positioning
Basics of distribution (rolling a ball, punting a ball)

These Goalkeeper sessions are intended to target the core components of playing as a GK. Training is open to players of all levels and experience as the training can be adjusted and modified. This training is also open to players outside of regular ASTRA programming.

Dribble, shoot and score with little feet and Big skills.
A fun introduction to deceptive dribbling and skills in a fun and game based learning environment.
Action packed small sided games that allow maximum time and touches on the ball.
Creating a strong foundation for gross motor skills of agility, balance and coordination.

Overview: Participants in the U9/U11 camp will take part in a unique Jamboree format referred to as a "Dutch Tournament". Each player is assigned a number on the first day of the camp and will play a series of short 4v4/5v5 games throughout the course of the session. After each game, points are allocated for wins, ties, shutouts, and individual goals. These points are recorded after each game and carry over to the next day. This format allows all players the opportunity to play with and against different opponents in each round as the teams are randomized based on the player’s assigned number. The constant changing of teams ensures all players are earning points for individual or team-based accomplishments.
